Waterless by design
Olive oil sits first on the ingredient list, ahead of the cleansing base. Water appears only when you turn on the shower and the oil emulsifies into a soft lather.
Velvet Cleanse

In most body washes water is 70 to 85 percent of the bottle. You are paying for water. Read the first word on your own label, then read ours.
Why it is different
Olive oil sits first on the ingredient list, ahead of the cleansing base. Water appears only when you turn on the shower and the oil emulsifies into a soft lather.
Cold pressed Sclerocarya birrea, high in oleic acid and tocopherols. Usually reserved for expensive serums, rarely for a body wash.
Both olive and marula are oleic rich, close in profile to your own sebum, so they are readily accepted and leave a fine lipid film instead of stripping it away.
Present ahead of the marula oil, so it is there in a functional amount. The oils seal the surface, the glycerin holds water underneath.
Rosemary leaf oil tones and helps stabilise the base. Tocopheryl acetate is a stable antioxidant that protects both the formula and the skin.
Because there is no water in the bottle, you use less per shower. Compare it by the cost of one wash, not the price of the bottle.

Good questions
Because water is filler. Removing it means the active oils sit at the top of the list and the product works as a concentrate.
Yes. The oil emulsifies into a light lather the moment it meets water.
Yes. The fragrance allergens are declared in full on the carton and in the specification above. If you react to fragranced cosmetics, this is not the product for you.
No. It rinses clean and leaves a thin lipid layer, so skin does not feel tight or squeaky afterwards.
